Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakesh

Arrive in Marrakesh and transfer to your hotel. Depending on your flight time, enjoy a stroll through the bustling souks and colorful Medina. A welcome briefing will be held at 7:00 PM at your hotel. If arriving late, you’ll receive your trek orientation the following morning.

Day 2: Marrakesh – Tighza – Aït Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Depart early for a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains. Stop in Tighza village for a short walk and a traditional lunch, then visit the famed Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou. Explore its ancient alleys before continuing to Ouarzazate for the night.

Hiking time: 1.5 hours

Day 3: Ouarzazate – Foum Zguid – Erg el Rhoul (Desert Entry)

Travel south to Foum Zguid, where your desert expedition begins. Switch to 4x4 vehicles and journey deep into the Sahara. Meet your camel team and set up camp at the edge of Erg el Rhoul.

Day 4: Erg el Rhoul – Erg Laalem

Start your trek into the dunes. Walk amidst the endless sandscapes, pausing for a shaded lunch and siesta in a traditional Berber tent. Experience the serenity of the desert's golden silence.

Day 5: Erg Laalem – Erg Chintouf

Continue your desert journey through a majestic landscape dotted with tamarisk trees and framed by distant desert plateaus and mountain ridges.

Day 6: Erg Chintouf – Erg Laabidlya

The dunes grow taller as you reach Erg Laabidlya, where a breathtaking panorama awaits. Camp at the base of a massive dune and witness the magic of sunset and sunrise in the Sahara.

Day 7: Erg Laabidlya – Khert el Galzim

Trek toward Khert el Galzim, your final desert camp. Try your hand at riding a camel and learn to bake traditional nomadic bread in the sand – a delicious treat when paired with honey.

Hiking time: 5 hours

Day 8: Khert el Galzim – Draa Valley – Marrakesh

Enjoy a final short morning walk before saying farewell to your desert crew. Travel back to Marrakesh through the beautiful Draa Valley, passing palm groves, oases, and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in the city by late afternoon.

Day 9: Free Day in Marrakesh

It is a great place to shop not too far from New York. We took the bus from Port Authority and traveled through the countryside to get there.
