Overview:

Pick up at 09h from your Raid/Hotel in Marrakech towards the heart of the Atlas Mountains passing many small dwellings, and drive along the famous zigzagging road (backdrop of the movie Mission impossible 5) with many photo stops. The local Guide will provide you with more details about the local life and facilitate the integration into the Berber community.

About an hour away from the busy city of Marrakesh you will have a refreshing cup of mint tea before you meet the Camels. The driver will meet you in the arrival place the continue a short drive towards Imlil valley. It possible to visit the local market open On Tuesday and Saturday. Lunch will be served in a strategic location surrounded by lush walnut groves overlooking Mount Toubkal, admir berber villages.

Flexible hike afterwards to explore imlil valley to the waterfalls, you can go higher to a spot with a general view of the area. Then transfer back to Marrakech

Mountain Toubkal is a mountain peak in southwestern Morocco, located in the Toubkal National Park. At 4,167 metres (13,671 ft), it is the highest peak in the Atlas Mountains and in North Africa. It is an ultra prominent peak located 63 km south of the city of Marrakesh, and is a popular destination for climbers.

At 4,167m, Mount Toubkal is the highest mountain in North Africa. The hike to the summit is challenging, but it requires no mountaineering experience and the panoramic view from his summit makes the hard work worthwhile.

Ijoukak Valley Day Trip

Today after breakfast from Marrakech your guide and private transportation will meet you at the hotel at 09:00 in the morning to start driving. You will visit Ouirgane village, after 1.5hrs of driving, and the new dam to snap some photos. Following this stop, by car you will continue to the n’Fiss Gorges and Tagadirt n’Lbour, Moldikht, Imgdal, Igr n’Kouris, Ijoukak, and Talat n’Yakoub which has a weekly market on Tuesday. In the Oued n’Fis valley, you will find some Juniper, Barbary fig, apricot, cherry, almond and walnut trees. From here, you start to walk to Ait Berihi, Imawnan, and to Tinmel villages, followed by a visit to the 12th century mosque, Tinmel Mosque. We may enter the mosque, built by Abd el Moumen between 1153-1154, Afterward; we will go back to Ijoukak for lunch in a local Berber family’s home. After lunch, you will be taken back to the n’Fis Valley and Gorges by car and finally returning back to the hotel. Today’s walking time will be about 2 hours. Driving will be four hrs in total
