Tour Plan
Transfer from Marrakech to Imlil (1,740m). Begin trekking uphill through pine forests towards the Tizi n’Tamatert pass (2,279m) with panoramic views of the Imnane Valley. Descend to Tacheddirt, the highest permanent village in the Atlas (2,300m). Overnight in a guesthouse.
Follow a mule trail across cultivated terraces and walnut groves to the villages of Tamguist and Timichchi. This day offers a real glimpse into traditional Berber farming life. Overnight in a family-run auberge.
Climb steadily towards the Tizi n’Agrseoual pass (2,000m). Descend into the beautiful Azzaden Valley, dotted with walnut and apple trees. Continue to Matat, a picturesque village where you stay overnight.
Walk along riverside paths before ascending to Tizi Oussem. The trail offers spectacular views across the Azzaden Valley, famous for its red soils and juniper forests. Overnight in a local guesthouse.
From Tizi Oussem, climb gradually to the Tizi n’Mzik pass (2,489m). Descend towards Imlil through juniper and pine forests. Spend the night in a guesthouse in or near Imlil.
Enjoy a final morning walk around Imlil, exploring nearby hamlets, before transferring back to Marrakech in the afternoon.
