Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa.
In the afternoon, you arrive at Tamguist village, where you’ll be welcomed into a traditional Berber guesthouse. Dinner will feature home-cooked dishes, giving you the first taste of authentic Berber culture.

After breakfast, continue your Atlas Mountains trekking tour with an ascent to Tizi n’Agrseoual (2,000m), a scenic mountain pass offering wide-open views over the valleys of Imnan and Azzaden. The hike takes you across high plateaus dotted with juniper and thyme, where shepherds still graze their flocks.
From the pass, descend towards the lush valley of Matat, a charming Berber village surrounded by terraced fields and fruit orchards. This stage of the Berber Villages Trek Morocco highlights the rural lifestyle of the High Atlas, with opportunities to meet local families and learn about their traditions.
